It’s a pretty dangerous disease, simply because it is a silent killer. Diabetes brings on a host of complications besides the fact that your body has a low tolerance for glucose – it can cause a stroke, bring on a silent heart attack, make you lose your eyesight or even a limb, and plague you with a host of ills that make your life miserable. And worst of all, it is one of the major causes of premature death. As with any disease, prevention is much better than cure when it comes to diabetes, especially if you are unlucky enough to be cursed with genes that are likely to pass it on to you. And the best way to do this is to minimize your risk for diabetes by:
* Getting enough regular and moderate exercise
* Eating the right foods in the right amounts at the right times
Exercise and diet – this is the tried and tested combination to keep diabetes at bay, and the sincerity with which we adhere to this routine is the key to reducing our risk of being susceptible to this disease. Exercise, the moderate kind that does not get your heart beating fast and your pulse raising, is very important if you want to avoid falling prey to diabetes. Walking, swimming, cycling and slow jogging are all good ways to reduce your risk. You must exercise at least four times a week, for an hour each day. Besides helping to regulate your blood sugar, exercise also helps keep your weight down.
Most people find it easier to exercise than to diet, because it’s easier to push your body than to control the cravings of your tongue and stomach. But if you have a family history of diabetes, you must watch what you eat. There are a few guidelines that you could follow as a matter of routine:
* Stay away from processed food like polished rice and white bread
* Eat more of whole grains and foods prepared with them
* Eat more nuts and seeds that are high in nutrients
* Reduce your carbohydrate intake
* Cut back on your sugar intake, in your coffee, as a soft drink or as dessert.
* Increase your body magnesium levels through supplements, wholegrain foods, leafy vegetables and nuts.
* Add leafy green vegetables to at least one meal a day
* Eat fresh fruits that are low in natural sugar content
* Eat the fruit rather than drink the juice so that you get the goodness and benefit of fiber. Besides, juices tend to cause your blood sugar levels to spike abnormally because of their high sugar content.
* Avoid eating potatoes and other starchy vegetables in any form.
* Include a sprinkling of cinnamon in your coffee or any other food you eat each day. Doing this regularly helps reduce your risk of diabetes.

Try our New ACCELERATED Fat Burning Diet right here

You are overweight for the most simple of reasons -- because you're eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and you're also eating meals in the wrong patterns each day.
Think closely about what we're about to tell you, since it's going to change the way you think about dieting...
FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Michael Jackson Lies! (Wild Video...)
Dear Readers, Let me share this with you,
[ Editor's Note: Fitness author Jon Benson shared this letter with me and gave me permission to share it with you. ]
Lies and more lies.
I'm sad to see the media jumping on the dangerous bandwagon they have chosen to hitch their star to.
And the star that is suffering the most is not Michael Jackson:
It's you.
Let me explain.
When a celebrity passes away the world takes notice.
And the world of the media often grabs ahold of whatever they can to keep the buzz alive.
Early this week they grabbed something they shouldn't have...
... and I responded.
I created what I feel is my best video yet to tell you all about it.
Go watch this --
bodybreak/halfoff <--- Michael Jackson Lies
The media pulled in some "expert" to suggest that Michael Jackson's untimely death may have been due to...
... ready?
"Working out too much at middle-age."
Oh, brother.
Watch my video and see the other lies as well...
... plus the truth.
Not from me... from the scientific community and from real facts.
Here's a hint:
Working out "more" intense, but "shorter" can save you from a heart attack when you're over 40.
And no matter your age it can take the stubborn bodyfat off.
Go see the truth:

Oh, by the way...
