Take Control of Your Aging Process

Aging Gracefully

Aging does not have to be the same as growing frail. Keep a good and positive attitude, manage your health, and make sure you exercise...be active.

Did you ever wonder why some aging persons become frail, while others remain active and involved?

There are still many that are active and robust well into their 80's and 90's. I know a few of those myself.

AHA Recommendation Omega-3 fatty acids
benefit the heart of healthy people,
and those at high risk of — or who have — cardiovascular disease.

What is their secret? Staying active and taking control of their health by taking preventative steps.

So, what do I mean by frail? Well, this can involve: weight loss, becoming tired fast, slow pace, and weakness. Fraility can be caused by many issues, including diseases such as heart attacks, stroke, cancer, inflammation, even side effects from medicines. And, so can a negative image of aging! The mental attitude can have a big influence.

Try to Stay active, exercise (the right way for your age), get involved, and have a good attitude about aging.

Don't smoke. Go for regular checkups. Keep control of your numbers: Sugars (glucose), cholesterol, high blood pressure.

Take vitamins...make sure you consult a professional for these.

Do gardening, reading, walking, swimming, and go dancing! Be optimistic about life and yourself!
